What are the risks?
Complications during the operation (anaesthesia and surgery) are rare. Even if the major risks are exceptional, they deserve to be recalled.
Many complications are likely to appear after the operation. Most of them can be prevented.
In the longer term, other complications may occur. These are late complications, sometimes referred to as prosthesis disease.
The expected benefits are significant, although there may be small and serious complications. Along with total hip replacement, knee replacement has become one of the most reliable procedures that can change the quality of your life.
The constant contact between the patient, Orthopaedic Studio® and the surgeon allows us to react quickly to any adverse events. This helps to avoid serious complications.
